His Majesty King Harald V has appointed Consul Aharon Menachem Izakson Commander of the Royal Norwegian Order of Merit in recognition of his outstanding consular services.

01/02/2007 // The Consul was presented with the insignia and diploma of the Order by H.E. Ambassador Biørn Lian at a ceremony at the Ambassador’s residence on 31 January 2007. 

His Majesty King Harald V has appointed Consul Aharon Menachem Izakson Commander of the Royal Norwegian Order of Merit in recognition of his outstanding consular services. The Consul was presented with the insignia and diploma of the Order by H.E. Ambassador Biørn Lian at a ceremony at the Ambassador’s residence on 31 January 2007. 

Aharon Menachem Izakson was born in Tel Aviv and appointed Consul by the late King Olav V on 10 July 1981. He is the Chairman of the Israel-Norway Chamber of Commerce. Before he was appointed Commander, Consul Izakson held the rank of Officer of the Order of Merit.

The Royal Norwegian Order of Merit was instituted by the late King Olav V on 14 June 1985. According to its statutes the Order is to be conferred on foreign nationals in recognition of particularly meritorious services rendered in the furtherance of Norwegian interests.
