The Norwegian artist Hanne Hukkelberg held a concert in Tel Aviv on the 18th of November 2009.
Hanne Hukkelberg is born in the Norwegian jazz-town Kongsberg, and her music is considered to be influenced by elements from jazz, pop and rock music. Hanne Hukkelberg is a skilful singer and musician, playing several instruments such as drums, piano and guitar. Hukkelberg has recently released her third album, called “Blood from a stone”. The album is inspired by Hukkelbergs past as a member of various rock and metal bands, and continues her penchant for combining traditional and unusual instrumentation to form a sound picture unique to her.
Hanne Hukkelberg: Hanne Hukkelbergs first album named “Little Things” was selected to be among the top ten albums of the year in 2007, by the British newspaper Sunday Times. Her second album “Rykestrasse 68” won the prestigious Norwegian music award “Spellemanprisen” in 2006. Hukkelberg has also performed live at several of Europe`s largest music festivals, including Roskilde (DK), Big Chill (UK) and Les Tomées de la Nuit (F). Hukkelberg has also written one of the songs for the soundtrack to the movie “The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian”, from 2008.
The venue for the concert was the Barby Club in Tel Aviv, located at 52 Kibutz Galuyot Street.
