The donor group for the Palestinian Authority (AHLC) today welcomed the political program of the Palestinian government for establishing a Palestinian state within the next two years. This plan will be an important platform for donor coordination with Palestinian authorities aimed at sustainable economic development and building the institutions of the future Palestinian state.

Closed Banks in Gaza

Palestinian banks were forced to stay closed after the weekend as a result of Israeli restrictions on cash transfers to Gaza. The banks do not have enough cash to pay salaries and make other payments. In total, half a million people are being affected during the Muslim Eid festival.
