The Royal Norwegian Embassy in Tel Aviv is looking to fill the position of Cultural and Commercial Officer.

Two Norwegian artists will be performing at the Tel Aviv International Festival of Contemporary Music and Video Art,  during the festival's “Weekend of Acoustic Ensembles”

One of Norway’s leading musicians and violinist, Terje Tønnesen will appear as a soloist in concerts with the Tel Aviv Soloists in Haifa 24 May, in Tel Aviv 25 May, and Carmiel 26 May. He will lead the Ensemble in performances  without a conductor. 

The Norwegian writer Sigrid Undset, who won the Nobel Prize in  Literature in 1928, was celebrated at the Begin  Heritage Center in  Jerusalem  on  15 April 2008. The Norwegian Minister of Culture, Mr Trond Giske ,  delivered a welcoming  speech .    

2008 is the 200th anniversary of the birth of the  Norwegian poet Henrik Wergeland. (1808-1845).
