The programme accepts grant applications from Ph.D. students and younger researchers from
• all European countries, including all Council of Europe member states, except for the Nordic countries.
• Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Egypt, India, Israel, Japan, Mexico and South Africa.
Subject fields and thematic priorities
The programme is open to all academic areas of study/research.
What type of funding can be sought?
Allocations are intended to cover settling-in expenses and other expenses in connection with a research stay from 1–10 months in Norway, based on a fixed rate of NOK 12 500 per month (approximately EUR 1 500 per month).
Application deadline and procedure
The closing date for submission of applications is 16 February 2011 for research stays commencing at the earliest in the autumn of the same year. Applications must be submitted via the «eSøknad» electronic submission service. Please consult the funding section (green tab) on: www.rcn.no/isenglish
Notification of the result will be sent to the applicant in April.
