Scholarships in Israel

Long and Short Term Scholarships & Wergeland and Holst Scholarships.

Long Term Scholarship is granted by the Israeli government for a period of maximum 8 months (one academic year).  Students can apply to the Israeli Embassy in their home country by 1 October.  For more information please see link: Ministry of Foreign Affairs.  Norwegian citizens are not eligible for the scholarship for the academic year 2010/2011.

Short Term Scholarship is granted for a Summer Language Course (Ulpan).  At present the Ulpan courses that the Israeli government offers are a 3-4 weeks program either in the Ulpan Akiva or in the Ulpan of Haifa University.  Ulpans of other universities and other Summer Courses are not accepted. For more information please see links. Norwegian citizens are not eligible for the scholarship for the academic year 2010/2011.

 

Wergeland and Holst Scholarships in Israel. The Hebrew University of Jerusalem is pleased to announce the “Thanks to Scandiavia” Scholarships for students from the Scandinavian countries for participation in the Rothberg International School’s Summer Program.  The language of instruction is English.   Students may enroll in either one language course (6 weeks) or the Summer Institute for Middle Eastern Studies (July).  For further information please se link: Thanks to Scandinavia
