26/02/2008 :: As of 21 December 2007 additional new Members of the Schengen Agreement joined. There are now 24 countries in the Schengen area: Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, the Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain and Sweden.
The following countries do not belong to the Schengen area: Bulgaria, Cyprus, Great Britain, Ireland, Romania, Russia, Switzerland and Turkey.
